Security Guard Training
Have you been thinking about a career as a Security Guard? Eastern Safety Services Security Guard training course is designed to provide security guards with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to hold a certificate in security guard training.
The course will:
– Provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform the role of a security guard.
– Ensure participants are familiar with resources, procedures, planning and responsibilities of a security guard.
– Provide participants with opportunities to further develop their knowledge and skills of a security guard.
Duration
45 hours in class training
Prerequisite
Canadian citizen
19 years of age and older
Criminal record screening certificate or a letter of conduct (issued 3 months or less)
Current Standard First Aid Level C or higher (equivalencies accepted)
Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS GHS 2015)
Co-requisites
Traffic Control (Workplace NL)
Powerline Hazards (Workplace NL)
Completion Requirements
100% attendance, skill demonstration, , 80% min. passing grade on written exams.

Notes
A clear criminal record screening certificate or a letter of conduct is required to be issued a certificate in “Security Guard Training” If a clear record is not available the participant has the option to present a case to Service NL for approval. All prerequisites and co-requisites training courses can be completed at Eastern Safety Services. We will schedule these courses days before and after the Security Guard Training.
