Pulmonary Function Testing (Spirometry)
This is a simple, non-invasive test used to assess how well your lungs are working. It measures the amount of air you can inhale and exhale, as well as how quickly you can move air in and out of your lungs. This test is commonly used to detect, monitor, and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other lung-related illnesses.
During the test, you will be asked to breathe into a specialized device called a spirometer. The procedure is quick, safe, and typically takes only a few minutes to complete. Results provide valuable information about lung capacity, airflow, and overall respiratory health.
Spirometry is often required as part of occupational health programs, particularly for workers exposed to dust, fumes, chemicals, or other airborne hazards. It can be used for pre-employment screenings, periodic health monitoring, and fitness-for-work assessments.
At Eastern Safety Services, our Pulmonary Function Testing is conducted by trained professionals using calibrated equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. We work with both individuals and organizations to support workplace health, regulatory compliance, and early detection of potential respiratory issues.
