EMR Ambulance Basic

It is recommended that you register for this course two weeks before the start of the EMR – Ambulance program. 

The EMR Ambulance Basics course is a self-directed learning program designed to prepare students for success in the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) – Ambulance program. This introductory course provides essential foundational knowledge to help learners enter the EMR program with confidence and a strong understanding of key concepts.

The course is delivered through a combination of online modules, guided learning activities, and practical preparation, allowing students to complete the material at their own pace. The total course duration is approximately 22 hours.

Course Overview

This course introduces students to the emergency medical services (EMS) field, including the expectations, responsibilities, and career pathways of an Emergency Medical Responder. It also provides a solid foundation in terminology, basic anatomy, and workplace safety concepts that are critical for success in both training and real-world practice.

It is strongly recommended that students complete this course prior to starting the 10-12 day EMR program to maximize learning outcomes and readiness.
