EMR COPR CPCF Preparations – Level 1

The EMR COPR CPCF Preparations – Level 1 course is a comprehensive, one-week (5-day) program designed to support students who have completed a 10-day EMR course and are preparing to write the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators CPCF examination.

This course combines in-class instruction, self-directed learning, and blended delivery methods to reinforce foundational knowledge and introduce the enhanced competencies required under the CPCF framework. Students will build a deeper understanding of professional expectations, patient care standards, and the evolving role of the EMR within today’s healthcare system.

  • EMR ethical practice and professional accountability
  • High standards of professional behaviour
  • Introduction to medical and pharmacological terminology
  • Foundations of human anatomy and physiology across the lifespan
  • Maintaining professional relationships with public safety personnel
  • Importance of ongoing professional development and maintaining competence
  • Introduction to evidence-based practice
  • Supporting the health and well-being of care team members
  • Professional communication and patient interactions

Recommendation:

It is strongly recommended that students register for both Level 1 and Level 2 prior to starting the 10-day EMR program to ensure a seamless transition into CPCF exam preparation.

Currently enrolled or completed a 10-12 day EMR-Ambulance course

Completion Requirements
100% attendance, skill demonstration, evaluated scenarios, 80% min. passing grade on written exams.
