Additional Fees & Booking Policies

At Eastern Safety Services, we work hard to keep our training and health service prices competitive. However, certain administrative and operational costs may apply depending on the type of booking, changes, or additional services requested.

All fees listed below are subject to HST and are due immediately at the time the service is requested or processed.

Some fees may be waived for registered corporate clients and approved not-for-profit organizations. Please contact us for more information regarding eligibility.

Other Applicable Fees

Booking Fee — $0.85 per booking

A small per-person fee applied to all course and appointment bookings. This covers administration, technology, insurance, and operational costs.

 

Change Fee — 1 free change (with the exception of Blended courses); $25.00 per additional change

Each booking includes one free change, (with the exception of Blended Courses) which may include:

  • Date Change
  • Location Change
  • Name Change

Any additional changes thereafter, or for all Blended training courses, will be billed at $25.00 per change.

 

No-Show Rescheduling Fee — $35.00

(For FR, MAFA, and EMR programs: $95.00) Customers who miss their scheduled class may rebook at the applicable fee. Rescheduling must occur within 30 days of the original class date; otherwise, full payment is required.

 

Split-Class Fee — $21.00 per day

For customers who wish to attend classes on different days or outside the standard scheduled format. This fee supports the additional administrative coordination required.

 

Course Upgrade Fee — $45.00 in-session / $85.00 within 30 days

For customers upgrading their course level (e.g., Basic to Intermediate First Aid):

  • $45.00 if the upgrade happens during the same course session and no certificate has been issued.
  • $85.00 if upgrading within 30 days after the certificate has been issued.

 

MAFA Upgrade (for FR/EMR Students) — $125.00

FR or EMR graduates may upgrade to include MAFA certification by attending one additional hour of class and paying the upgrade fee.

Valid within 30 days of completing the original course.

 

Certificate Re-Issuing Fee — $25.00 per certificate

Applies to re-issued or re-sent certificates that have already been provided by ESS or a third-party certification partner.

Clients are encouraged to access their certificate directly through the issuing organization whenever possible.

 

Onsite Service Fee — $49.95 per day

Applied when training or health services are delivered at a customer’s location instead of one of our training centres.

 

Delivery Fee — $35.00 (Standard Delivery)

Delivery service is available in CBS, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Torbay, and surrounding areas.

A standard delivery fee of $35.00 per person applies.

 

Tutoring Fee — $35.95 per hour

Private tutoring for course material is available upon request and is billed hourly.
