EMR-Ambulance COPR Bridging
The EMR-Ambulance COPR Bridging Course is designed to help current and past EMR participants prepare for the new Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) CPCF examination framework effective after May 6, 2026. This self-directed online course was developed to bridge educational and knowledge gaps between previous EMR training standards and the updated COPR CPCF exam requirements.
Participants will review and strengthen essential Emergency Medical Responder knowledge, including patient assessment, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, communication, professional practice, critical thinking, EMS operations, and additional competencies identified within the new CPCF framework. The course also includes supplemental learning modules such as WHMIS, ICS 100, and other preparatory content designed to support success on the COPR exam.
The EMR-Ambulance COPR Bridging Course is strongly recommended for:
- Students currently enrolled in the EMR-Ambulance Program
- Individuals who completed an EMR course prior to May 6, 2026
- EMRs preparing to write or rewrite the COPR CPCF examination
- EMRs seeking additional preparation and confidence prior to registration examinations
This course is delivered entirely online through our self-directed learning portal, allowing participants to complete the training at their own pace within the provided access period. Participants registered in the EMR-Ambulance Program will receive this course at no additional cost.
