Course provides the knowledge and skills that are necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness for those functioning as a member of the health care team in a pre-hospital setting. Course is for those providing a professional level of emergency response including firefighters, law-enforcement officers, and emergency medical services personnel. Includes CPR level HCP and AED. Meets the Paramedic Association of Canada National Occupational Competency Profiles for the practitioner level of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).
This course meets Provincial Medical Oversight (PMO).

Standard First Aid with CPR Level HCP
100% attendance, skill demonstration, 2 evaluated scenarios, 80% min. passing grade on written exams.
3-year certification in Emergency Medical Responder, CPR Level HCP, and AED
40 hours; includes CPR Level HCP
St. John Ambulance Emergency Medical Responder Manual
Certification cards will be issued from St. John Ambulance Provincial Office after completing the course and all fees are paid in full at Eastern Safety Services. Certificates will be available at Eastern Safety Services once they arrive from the Provincial Office.
Students are responsible to registered with PMO once they receive certificates.
